Electronic Cigarette

You been thinking about them?

Smoking any brand of tobacco cigarettes is very addicting and deadly habit. If you know anyone that smokes, you and many like you know what is like have that nicotine. Gum, patches, hypnosis and still you smoke. Now, YES now we have something that will work and will still help you not go through all the withdraws that are associated with just plain cold turkey. Revolution has come, yes now you can still smoke and quit all at the same time.

Lifestyles…?

There is alot in the media these days about giving up smoking, it is big business. There are haunting tv advertisements, books being written and now that it has been banned in pubs it seems the only thing to do is to give in and give up. I have been a heavy smoker for many years now and being told it’s time to give up…the thought of which horrifies me. When working what would you break for, if not a cigarette? How much meaning would life have? People talk of the quality of life. What would be the point in weekends, holidays or days off? To carry on without the woodbine, feels pretty grim to me. The stress of giving up, of coping without this release would clog up my arteries as much, if not more, than the ciggys I’ve been puffing on for 30 years. We all know how much damage stress can do and my theory is that smoking relieves this to a large degree. To a point where the pro and cons balance out. Perhaps my life will be shorter, but at least it’ll be a damn site more enjoyable. I say if you smoke in privacy and don’t damage anyone else’s health then you can’t knock it.

Very recently, e-cigarette users and retailers gained important legal victory. On January 14, 2010, a federal district court judge ruled that the FDA can not ban the importation of the e-cigarette. Judge Richard Leon ruled that the FDA may not regulate the e-cigarette as a “drug device”.

Everyone who smokes has tried to quit at one point or another. Even if the reason is for money and not necessarily for health benefits, we have all been down that road. It is not fun to quit, nor is it fun to chew that gum that tastes, well, like a piece of medicine. It is not fun to “patch up” and spend what it actually costs to buy a full carton of cigarettes (or more!), when the relief it gives you is less than if you had just smoked. You still want to smoke after using those products anyway, right? Where is the long-term relief in these “solutions” to the problem?
